Hikers are taken through the area's beautiful hickory forests and along escarpments providing gorgeous vistas over the surrounding area. This moderately difficult, five-mile loop trail is open year-round and is one of the more popular treks in the park. Bring your organic biodegradable soap and just bathe right there in the creek. Multiple small waterfalls and deeper pools at their base are cool and relaxing. I HIGHLY recommend putting in your water shoes or flip flops and walking down the creek. Sitting on the front porch in a hammock chair, sipping a beverage and listening to the creek and the birds is relaxing as well. While there are many attractions nearby, we found the trails onsite to be just perfect. Highly recommend bringing your cast iron cookware for that experience. We cooked every meal over an open fire next to the creek. All the pots and pans and utensils needed are there too. There is a hot plate, toaster oven, fridge and hot and cold water. Clean, comfortable, and stocked with the essentials. Looking for seclusion, serenity, and beauty? You’ll find it here. We stayed at Cozy Creek and couldn’t have been happier.
